Bachelor's Degree from Martin Methodist College, Elementary Education K-6

I taught 6th grade and kindergarten in Marshall County before moving to Coffee County to teach first grade.

I have been married to my husband for 9 years and we have three rambunctious boys who are seven, four, and two. We met at Martin Methodist College where he played baseball and I played basketball. We are members of Forest Mill Church of Christ, participate in Upwards Basketball, and Manchester Youth Baseball. We love most sports, especially baseball and basketball. I love the lake and water skiing, I have been skiing since I was one year old. I grew up with horses, dogs, pigs, cats, cows, and even had a pet snake.

I taught in Marshall County for three years and my husband was a police officer for Lewisburg City. We decided to move back to my hometown when our oldest started school because we wanted our children to have the same experiences and education I received in Coffee County. I realize the impact a teacher can have on a student because many of my teachers inspired me to go into education. Through them, I learned to love reading, I learned to push myself academically, and I learned to believe in myself. I will be the same influential teacher to your children.

I love working with kids. I enjoy challenging their thinking, watching their little minds grow, and seeing their little faces light up when they have conquered an obstacle. I will also relay the lessons I learned from my teachers that went beyond the alphabet and numbers. Your children will learn what it means to be compassionate, patient and trustworthy, to show respect, and to be a friend. I look forward to this year and seeing the progress we make!
