Special Education


Mr. Westmoreland graduated from White County High School, and following he joined the Navy. He spent his Military time in Little Creek Virginia with Fleet Deception Group Atlantic. After his military time, He worked in industry while attending Motlow State College followed by receiving his Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree from MTSU in Special Education...  


Mr. Westmoreland was the Metal Trades Instructor at Coffee County High School from 1992 thru 2001. He assisted with the football program for a couple of those years. Upon leaving the High School he worked in industry the next few years, but missed teaching. He decided to get certified in Special Education and completed his undergraduate and graduate work at MTSU. He then taught Special Education at Scales Elementary in Murfreesboro followed by Westwood Middle School then presently at East Coffee Elementary. He was assistant coach with football at Westwood where they had an undefeated season 9-0 in 2013 under Head Coach Mr. Chad Dyer. Mr. Westmoreland has many life experiences and professional experiences to bring to Coffee County Schools.


Mr. Westmoreland has been married 25 years to Melisa Westmoreland. They have two children; Dakota and Abigale. Mr. Westmoreland loves to hunt, fish, and especially ride his motorcycle. He lives in Hillsboro, Tennessee where he raises trees and catfish.
